KARACHI: University of Karachi (UoK) International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS).will organise an entrance tests on Sunday (May 14) to induct students in its MPhil and PhD Programmes-for the year 2017.
All admissions will be granted to the students purely on the basis of merit under the announced high learning programme of University of Karachi.
The successful students will be given admissions to the Dr Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) and H. E. J. Research Institute of Chemistry.
This was stated by Director ICCBS-UoK Prof Dr M Iqbal Choudhary while speaking at a meeting of the admission committee held recently at H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry.
He said that the international centre at the University of Karachi is one of the finest academic research establishments of chemical and biomedical sciences in the developing world.
The academic and research excellence in the ICCBS, University of Karachi cannot be ignored as it is the 3rd Pakistani Institution that has become the Category-II partner of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
He said that hundreds of candidates will be appearing in written and oral examinations in various science disciplines, which includes molecular medicine, organic chemistry, bio-organic chemistry and other branches of chemistry.
He said that the test will be held at 10:00 am, but all the eligible candidates will have to report on 09:30 am along with Admit Card and Original CNIC. The test results will be announced on the center’s and the University’s website on Friday (May 19).
