RAWALPINDI: More than 2,260 police personnel on census duty are not being provided transport, food, tea or even drinking water.
Apart from police personnel, 152 officials from the special elite group have been called for patrolling in areas where teams are conducting census.
“I did not take lunch for two days but on the third day went to a vendor and purchased something to eat,” sub-inspector said.
He added, army personnel and teachers who were also on the census duty took a two-hour lunch break, telling the policemen to go anywhere or stay at the base camp. “How can we work from 8am to 4pm without taking food, tea or even drinking water,” he asked.
