MULTAN: Police were granted a four-day physical remand of Haq Nawaz, cousin of slain model QandeelBaloch, who also happens to be a suspect in her murder case.
Haq Nawaz was presented at the Civil Court for a hearing pertaining to the QandeelBaloch murder case, which was presided by Civil Judge Mohammad HarisMuneerQazi on Friday. Haq Nawaz was presented before the court since his five-day physical remand had expired today.
During the proceedings of the case, investigating officerAtiyaNaheed stated that QandeelBaloch’;s iPhone and passport had been obtained from suspect Haq Nawaz. The phone had been sent to a laboratory so that data could be extracted from it. She also said that Haq Nawaz’;s presence at the time of Qandeel̵7;s murder and his support in her killing had been proved hence the court had granted police a four-day remand of the accused.
QandeelBaloch was a controversial social media personality who was murdered allegedly by her brother Muhammad Waseem for honour. Following her death, an investigation was carried out and it was claimed that other suspects were also part of her murder, such as a taxi driver Abdul Basit and Qandeel̵7;s cousin Haq Nawaz.
